Hello! Welcome to my little corner on the internet. I’m Ethel, a California-based surface pattern designer. I create story-driven designs inspired by folklore and animals. Combining creative vision and commercial awareness, my work ranges from bright and joyful to moody and atmospheric, with each piece designed to spark curiosity, evoke emotions and invite conversation across products.

I have had the pleasure of seeing my designs on apparel, drinkware, and stationery with my most recent collaboration being with Princess Awesome, and I also create whimsical stationery through my own brand Heed the Hare.
